How are lawyers using technology? What types of technology are lawyers investing in? These questions and more are all answered by the detailed statistics and analysis provided in the 2016 Legal Technology Survey Report. Recognized as the source for information regarding the use of technology by attorneys in a private practice, the Survey Report covers everything from budgets and purchasing habits to the use of smartphones in the courtroom. The Survey is separated into six volumes: Technology Basics & Security, Law Office Technology, Litigation Technology & E-Discovery, Web and Communication Technology, Online Research, and Mobile Lawyers. Each volume features a trend report summarizing the year’s notable results, detailed charts and tables, and highlights from previous years. This edition combines all six volumes.
The 2016 Legal Technology Survey Report is produced by the ABA Legal Technology Resource Center (LTRC). For more than a decade, the LTRC has surveyed practicing attorneys about their technology choices to create this annual report.
