2018 Proposal to Amend Lawyer Advertising Rules

Program Overview::For two years the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility has been reviewing, developing, and seeking comments on various proposals to amend the Model Rules of Professional Conduct lawyer advertising rules with the goal of updating and streamlining current rules and ensuring the continuation of protections for the public.
Based on comments it received to its Working Draft, released in 2017, the Committee has revised its proposal. This program will introduce the revised Working Draft - dated March 2018 - to attendees and explain the Committee’s reasoning for its recommendations.
