Once an arbitrator receives the invitation to serve, the duty to disclose any potential conflict begins as part of the appointment process and continues throughout the proceeding. How much and what should be disclosed? How should arbitrators handle disclosures once their appointment has been confirmed and the proceeding is well under way?

Join two major ADR providers and two experienced arbitrators as they

·        Review the ethical standards that arbitrators must observe in disclosing potential conflicts;

·        Look at relevant case law that illustrate the perils of not disclosing enough; and

·        Discuss best practices on when, what and how arbitrators should disclose from the providers’ point of view.

The panel will also probe the limits of an arbitrator’s authority once he or she is selected.  Attention to limitations may make the difference between an enforceable and voidable award!

This 75-minute CLE webinar is the first in our new six-part Advanced Arbitration Webinar Series.
