"Destroying" the Johnson Amendment and the Future of 501(c)(3) Politicking
1:00 PM - 2:35 PM ET
President Trump has promised to "totally destroy" the Johnson Amendment, which states that section 501(c)(3) organizations may "not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office." How might he and his allies do that, what would the implications be, and how likely is it that something will actually happen?
