This book provides an overview of the directors and officers landscape within and outside of the United States, with particular emphasis on those jurisdictions where the majority of business interests are non-US based.

"The Global Directors and Officers Deskbook is an indispensable guide to officers and directors of multinational companies and those who advise them. To have the ability, in one volume, to get a global overview of the risks directors and officers face under the laws of the major world economies, permits busy executives help shape their conduct in accordance with the laws of the countries in which they operate. It also lets them know the risks they face if they slip. This book is clearly a must have."

I recently had the opportunity to review ‘The Global Directors and Officers Deskbook’ and found it to be a wonderful resource. Perry Granof and Henry Nicholls have collected a great deal of substantive information in one easy to use book. For those that represent companies that do work globally, this is a very valuable guide that allows one to understand quickly what the potential exposures are for directors and officers and to gain a sense of the related insurance issues. This book will help focus risk avoidance and mitigation strategies. Congratulations on a terrific book!

This book is a terrific resource and is written in a clear, well-constructed format. It truly covers the global D&O liability landscape and addresses the topics in a practical, intelligent manner. My thanks to the authors for creating a helpful resource for those of us in the D&O liability and insurance field.

Perry Granof and Henry Nicholls have divided the modern world of D&O insurance and regulation into 29 parts consisting of the US, the UK, 26 other countries, and ROW (rest of world). I divide the D&O world into just two groups: directors who are familiar with their companies’ D&O coverage in force and those who operate cluelessly. This book will seriously aid the first group. For me, the great work that Granof & Nicholls have accomplished lies less in the purposeful consistency and structure across domiciles. Instead, I view the uncommon assembly of dozens of major D&O thought-leaders and legal practitioners who are significant players in these country-specific markets and beyond as the authors’ biggest achievement. If you’re a director of a multi-national entity and you’re cognizant of your D&O coverage across borders, this book should be part of your personal helpdesk materials.

This is a most excellent deskbook, and that is exactly where I keep it within arm's reach whenever I have a gnawing global questionnaire. It is not only well-organized, but also most comprehensive in its treatment of issues throughout the world, not only in countries where one may encounter frequesnt securities law and D&O issues, but also in thosejurisdictions where the practitioner may only rarely need guidance. Thbe array of contributing regional coordinators is truly impressive, as well as the stellar work that Perry and Henry obviously contributed as editors.
