Mid-Atlantic Chapter March Brownbag: Effective Mediation Advocacy
American Bar Association
1050 Connecticut Ave NW Fl 5
Washington, DC 20036-5303
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM ET
This event has been rescheduled for June 20, 2016. Please see the new registration page here.
Join us to hear about the client perspective on mediation from two prominent local mediators, two outside counsel experienced in mediation, and an in-house counsel with experience at several companies. The program will cover strategy for effective mediations, including timing of the mediation, selection of the mediator, the written submission, the mediation itself (tactics, tone, participants), and how to avoid/deal with impasse.
This is the first Mid-Atlantic Chapter event in 2016. It is our vision that the Chapter will continue to serve as a regional forum for local members of the Section to have regular in-person meetings. Additionally, the Chapter will hold events dealing with dispute resolution topics, promote dispute resolution in the Mid-Atlantic Region, CLE seminars, networking, and other opportunities.
This event will commence with an opportunity to network with other chapter professionals--so bring your business cards! We hope you will join us, and please bring your lunch! Parking is available in the building from Central Parking. The entrance is on 18th Street between K and L Streets, NW.
