1:00 PM - 2:30 PM ET
1.50 General CLE Credit Hours
Individuals now have health insurance coverage available to them through many sources, which may include employer-sponsored coverage, COBRA coverage under an employer-sponsored plan, individual coverage through a Marketplace plan, or coverage through Medicare. Understanding how those coverage options relate to each other and when transitions can be made between available options is important both for employers and for individuals. There are some traps for the unwary that can create exposure to penalties under the Affordable Care. This session will examine these different coverage options, highlighting the manner in which they relate to each other and describing the rules governing movement between coverage options.
